MRH Walk-In Care to reopen August 5th in Primary Care Suite
MILLINOCKET – Millinocket Regional Hospital (MRH) is excited to announce the re-opening of its walk-in clinic, set to open on August 5th. The clinic will be temporarily located in the Primary Care Clinic on the hospital campus.
“We are pleased to bring walk-in care services back to our patients,” said Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Robert Peterson. “This clinic will provide convenient and accessible care for non-emergent medical needs, reduce wait times at the emergency department, and allow our emergency team to focus on critical cases.”
The MRH Walk-in Clinic will offer convenient care and treatment for a variety of non-life-threatening health conditions for patients of all ages. Common ailments treated at the clinic include respiratory infections, such as flu and COVID-19, strep throat, ear and eye infections, skin infections, insect bites, and minor injuries from falls.
Nurse Practitioner Lisa Milne will be the primary care provider at the Walk-In clinic. A familiar face to the Katahdin Region, Lisa brings compassionate care and valuable experience to the clinic.
MRH Walk-In Care will be conveniently located within the MRH Primary Care facility, accessible via Somerset Street. This temporary location will serve the community until a permanent space is established on the hospital campus.
The clinic will be open Monday through Friday from 8 am to 11 am and 2 pm to 5 pm. No appointments are necessary.
The MRH Walk-in Clinic is intended for minor health issues that do not require immediate attention from a primary care physician. After a visit to the walk-in clinic, patients are encouraged to follow up with their regular healthcare provider.
