Millinocket Regional Hospital’s Emergency Department is staffed twenty-four hours every day by a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals including highly qualified Registered Professional Nurses and Physician Assistants.
Our Emergency Department strives to see every patient in a timely manner based on the severity of their illness or injury rather than on a first come first serve basis.
Providers are able to access your electronic medical records through Health Info Net which enables them to make more informed treatment decisions at the point of care while enhancing continuity of care with other providers.
Our highly trained Emergency Department team includes nurses that are trained to care for critically ill or injured patients and when appropriate, MRH will arrange for transport to another healthcare facility. We cooperate with the Millinocket and East Millinocket Fire and Ambulance Services and Life Flight Air Transportation if the treatment required is outside of our expertise. We can arrange emergency ground and air transportation for patients who require a higher level of care.
Millinocket Regional Hospital also has sexual assault nurse examiners on staff that are trained to respond to sensitive situations like sexual assault.
