Supporting local health care – one gift at a time

Vicki McEwen Dubois recently held a yard sale of the contents from a family home and immediately thought of others. The sale resulted in a gift to Millinocket Regional Hospital for the Family Room, located within the inpatient area of the hospital, in memory of her parents, Raymond and Mary McEwen.

Legacy Medical Foundation Michael Crowley joined the Foundation board chair Julie Day this week to accept the gift from Vicki…a very talented individual who saw a need within MRH and took action to help. “Support for our local hospital is crucial to enhance the MRH patient-family experience and to make upgrades in virtually all service lines within the hospital,” stated Michael Crowley (pictured with Vicki Dubois for the gift presentation held this week). Foundation volunteer board chair Julie Day added, “We all know the value of local health care, and this is one way to ensure that we maintain it – and continue to improve it with help from our patient families and visitors to the Katahdin Region.”
